I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in North Carolina (#8435) and a Licensed Professional Counselor in South Carolina (#7936). With a Master of Arts in Community Counseling from Regent University (2010) and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (2008), I bring over a decade of experience walking alongside children, adolescents, adults, and families in their pursuit of healing and growth.
My practice focuses on supporting children (ages 3+), teens, adults, and parent-child dyads through challenges including anxiety, depression, childhood behavioral dysregulation, trauma, autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, grief, parenting concerns, women’s issues, family discord, and spiritual concerns. I have specialized training as a Registered Play Therapist (RPT) and as a Certified Autism Specialist, and I am additionally trained in EMDR to facilitate trauma processing.
My therapeutic approach is integrative, drawing from Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Family Systems Theory, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Play Therapy. For children, I use child-centered play therapy to meet them at their developmental level and harness the healing power of play. For adolescents and adults, I emphasize the importance of identifying faulty thought patterns, strengthening coping skills, and reshaping unhealthy relational dynamics. My work is also influenced by strengths-based and attachment-focused perspectives, allowing me to consider the whole person and their context.
These methods reflect my commitment to offering evidence-based care that is both compassionate and practical. I believe counseling is a collaborative process, where client and counselor work together to establish meaningful goals, measure progress, and foster lasting change.
Above all, I count it a privilege to walk alongside clients and families through their seasons of struggle. I am deeply grateful for the trust clients place in me and for the opportunity to support them as they take steps toward healing, growth, and renewed hope.
